MPG Capital is currently raising capital for its natural resource, energy fund, “Blue Phoenix Fund I”. The objective of Blue Phoenix Fund I (“BPI”) is to be a diversified, private equity fund, which invest in a portfolio of equity funds in the natural gas space. Such funds provide capital for both emerging and well established companies with emphasis on natural gas production, storage, processing and/or transportation within the most prolific and profitable producing basins of the North American continent. There is no international exposure within BPI.
To qualify as an investor in BPI, an individual or private entity must fall within the guidelines set forth by the SEC as a 3C7 Qualified Investor. The typical investor in MPG Capital has a minimum of $100 thousand to invest in a private equity fund.

Michael P. Grace is a Venture Capitalist with over 20 years of deal discovery, business development, management and entrepreneurial endeavors. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Missouri and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Saint Thomas. Mr. Grace began his career in the Mortgage Backed securities sector of Investment Banking. He then transitioned his career to become the 3rd generation of Graces to join his family’s business at Grace Machinery and Fabrication as its Vice President of Sales. Immediately following the successful sale of the family business, Mr. Grace transitioned to the energy sector where he held business development and management positions with Koch Industries, El Paso Energy and EnCana. In 2006, Mr. Grace joined Lonestar Midstream, LP as Partner and Vice President of Business Development. Lonestar was a Private Equity backed, private MLP with a debt facility provided by Goldman Sachs. After the sale of Lonestar assets to Penn Virginia Resource Partners for $220 million, Mr. Grace formed MPG Ventures, LLC to be a Venture Capital investor in start-up or early stage developed companies. Current investments include: Z Interactive, LLC., Chaos Theory Records, LP., Blue Phoenix Midstream, LP. and Kimball Price, LLC.
